CUSTOMISED DRESS ORTHOTICS

Orthotics to fit a dress shoe

Dress shoes are a staple of every wardrobe yet is one of the most common causes of pain and injury. Men and women alike commonly suffer the consequences of shoes designed for fashion over function. Bunions, hammertoes, metatarsalgia, Morton's neuroma, plantar fasciitis, heel spur syndrome and Achilles tendinopathy are all nasties that can be related to your favourite footwear.

Fitting slim-line customised orthotics into dress shoes can be an effective way to prevent and manage pain without necessarily compromising the style of footwear.  We discuss with you the shoe characteristics required (i.e. less than 4cm heel height, semi-enclosed) and then will take measurements from your appropriate shoes to accompany the prescription. The orthotics are made from a 3D scan of your foot and made to a bespoke prescription. We can make the slim orthotics full length or 3/4 length and transferable between similar styled shoes.

For fashionable shoes where customised orthotics won't fit, see www.emilybraidwood.com for off-the-shelf insoles designed specifically for heels and flats by Emily Smith.
